New logistics facilities

07.11.2022 – Within the framework of a ceremonial act, the foundation stone for the expansion and modernization of the new logistics facility of the company AGLUKON Spezialdünger was laid today.

A 100 m long and 40 m wide warehouse is being built, which will house a modern high-bay narrow aisle warehouse with two areas. On the complete 4000 m², a storage capacity of more than 6400 pallet spaces will be created. The direct connection to the production plant shortens the distances and increases the efficiency of the flow of goods. The goods can be loaded via 4 loading bridges and 2 gates. The warehouse will store finished goods, as well as raw materials and packaging for production.

"Thus, massive investments are being made in our Düsseldorf site; at €11 million for the building and €13.6 million for the overall project, this represents the largest investment in the company's history. This investment offers future security for 85 employees and significantly improved resilience in a tense market environment. The automation possibilities gained as a result, especially in intralogistics, will also improve our competitiveness in the future," explains one of the managing directors, Dr. Benjamin Klug.

In the construction of the new building, great importance is attached to high energy efficiency, and in addition, the entire roof is to be equipped with a powerful photovoltaic system, which will cover a significant proportion of the company's own consumption.
